El 20 de marzo de 1943 nace Gerard Malanga, poeta, fotógrafo y director de cine estadounidense. Hijo de inmigrantes italianos, se crió en el Bronx, Nueva York, donde comenzó a escribir poesía cuando era adolescente.
Gerard is the author of over a dozen books of poetry spanning a 50-year period, including 2019’s “Cool and other things" (Bottle of Smoke Press). He was already a published poet before he went to work for Andy Warhol in 1963.
