Zhao Benshan (simplified Chinese: 赵本山; traditional Chinese: 趙本山; pinyin: Zhào Běnshān; born 2 October 1957) is a Chinese skit and sitcom actor, comedian, television director, and businessman.
赵本山，1957年10月2日出生于中国 辽宁省 铁岭市 开原市 ，中国内地男演员、导演、编剧、监制、制片人、出品人 [46]、企业家、歌手，二人转国家 非物质文化遗产 传承人、 国防科技大学 客座教授 [59]、 东北二人转 教授、 国家一级演员 、 全国政协 委员 [61]、 中国曲艺家协会 会员、 本山传媒集团 原董事长 [44]、辽宁曲艺家协会第八届副主席。 1982年，因主演拉场戏《 摔三弦 》成名。 1990年，首次登上 中央电视台春节联欢晚会 的舞台。
Zhao Ben Shan is an Chinese actor, producer, director and singer. Zhao was born in Tieling, Laoling and was orphaned when he was six years. Later he learned many local traditional performance arts from his uncle.

Zhao Benshan (born October 1958 ) is a comedian, actor, producer, director and screenwriter. He achieved nationwide fame at the Spring Festival Eve Gala of China Central Television (CCTV) in 1990. Since then he staged a skit almost every year, winning top prizes for many of them.
Dubbed as China’s Charlie Chaplin, Zhao Benshan is a celebrity comedian (King of Comedy 小品王), television director, actor, producer, CEO of Benshan Media, and a university administrator.
