Emil Jannings (Rorschach, de Suiza, 23 de julio de 1884-Strobl, de Austria, 3 de enero de 1950) fue un actor alemán de origen suizo, cuyo verdadero nombre era Theodor Friedrich Emil Janenz. Se nacionalizó alemán.

Actor suizo. Nació el 23 de julio de 1884 en Rorschach, Suiza. Comenzó a actuar desde niño, incorporándose al cine en 1914 para trabajar principalmente con el productor Max Reinhardt, y actuar a las órdenes de Ernst Lubitsch o F. W. Murnau. En 1926 se trasladó a Hollywood.
