Professor Minoru Inaba received his B. Sc. from Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University in 1984, and his M. Sc. in 1986 and Dr. Eng. in 1995 from Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University. He has worked on electrochemical energy conversion systems at Kyoto University (1992-2002) and at Doshisha University (2002-present).
Minoru Inaba is interested in the historical frontiers of Central Asia, East Asia, and South Asia, as well as human activities across those frontiers. He is carrying out analysis of the travel records of Chinese Buddhist monks who visited India.
Minoru Inaba is a historian specialized in the Pre-Modern history of present-day Afghanistan. He is a professor at the Institute for Research in Humanities, Kyoto University, where he has been working for more than thirty years.
