Alan Joseph Faneca (/ ˈ f æ n ɪ k ə /; born December 7, 1976) is an American former professional football player who was a guard in the National Football League (NFL) for 13 seasons. He played college football for Louisiana State University (LSU), and earned consensus All-America honors.
Alan Faneca, a 6’4”, 322-pound guard out of LSU, was drafted in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. After seeing limited action in his first game, the left guard’s playing time increased over the next several games.

1 de dic. de 2021 · Alan Faneca, the staunch LSU Tigers football fan, ironically committed to their SEC rivals, the Alabama Crimson Tide, some twenty-four hours before National Signing Day in 1994. Faneca had a change of heart the following day and committed to LSU instead.
