Freelance spent most of 2008 contesting for the DF Trios titles, but found himself in a feud with AJPW trainee Tetsuya (also known as Bushi) by the end of the year. Tetsuya was finally able to win the championship on February 8th, in a three way with Dr. Cerebro .
