Gaston Louis Chevrolet (October 4, 1892 – November 25, 1920) was an American racing driver and automobile manufacturer. He was the winner of both the Indianapolis 500 and the American National Championship in 1920.

Youngest of a trio of brothers who were to leave an indelible mark on American racing, Gaston Chevrolet remains an enigmatic and unheralded figure in motor sport, primarily due to his untimely death in a terrible crash at the Beverly Hills Speedway on Thanksgiving Day in 1920.
Gaston Chevrolet. Gaston was the youngest member of the Chevrolet family, and he followed in his older brothers footsteps by competing in major AAA sanctioned automobile races. He scored a number of significant victories on the board tracks during the 1919 season, and won the Indy 500 in 1920.
Gaston Chevrolet. GASTON CHEVROLET left France as a young man to join his two older brothers, Louis and Arthur, in the United States. He began to attract attention by finishing well in four auto races in 1917, including a 250-mile race on the board track at Cincinnati, Ohio.
