Alistair Murdoch McCoist, MBE ( / məˈkɔɪst /; born 24 September 1962) is a Scottish former footballer who has since worked as a manager and TV pundit. McCoist began his playing career with Scottish club St Johnstone, before moving to English side Sunderland in 1981.

As per Fitbastats, he scored 362 goals in 585 games for the Ibrox giants across a 15-year spell. 251 goals were scored in the Scottish top-flight while McCoist scored 29 in the Scottish Cup and 54 in the Scottish League Cup, the latter being a competition record.

A brilliant penalty box striker Ally McCoist was twice winner of the European Golden Boot and is Rangers’ all time top goal scorer with 355 goals from 581 games. With Rangers McCoist won eight League Championship titles, nine Scottish League Cups and one Scottish Cup.
