Ecaterina Szabo (en húngaro: Szabó Katalin; Zăbala, Distrito de Covasna, Rumania, 22 de enero de 1968) es una exgimnasta artística rumana, descendiente del grupo étnico húngaro, ganadora de veinte medallas mundiales, continentales y olímpicas.

Always poised and cool in competition, Ecaterina Szabo was the ideal gymnast, with creativity, flexibility, style and technique. By the time her career ended in 1987, she had won five Olympic medals, four of them gold, eight World medals, and an amazing 11 Junior and Senior European medals combined.
