Glenn Scobey Warner (April 5, 1871 – September 7, 1954), most commonly known as Pop Warner, was an American college football coach at various institutions who is responsible for several key aspects of the modern game.
Pop Warner was an American college gridiron football coach who devised the dominant offensive systems used over the first half of the 20th century. Over a 44-year career as coach (1895–1938), Warner won 319 games, the most in the NCAA until the 1980s.

Glenn Scobey “Pop” Warner coached at Pitt from 1915 to 1923. Under his command, the Panthers burgeoned into a national power in college football. Few college coaches have influenced their players and peers as significantly as Warner.
Warner earned his first victory in a Rose Bowl Game in his third try, defeating his former team, the Pitt Panthers, 7–6 in 1928. Warner was a member of the inaugural class of inductees to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1951.

Glenn Scobey Warner was born April 5, 1871, in Springville, New York. He enrolled at Cornell University and, as the oldest freshman, was given the nickname "Pop". He played guard on the football team 1892-94.
