Louis Pierre Louvel (nacido en Versalles el 13 o 14 de febrero de 1783 y guillotinado en París el 7 de junio de 1820) fue un criminal francés famoso por haber asesinado al duque de Berry. Aprendió en su juventud el oficio de guarnicionero y demostró afición al trabajo, si bien su carácter era algo sombrío.

Louis Pierre Louvel (7 October 1783 – 7 June 1820) was the assassin of Charles Ferdinand, Duke of Berry. Born in Versailles , Louvel was the son of a haberdasher, learned the profession of a saddler , and entered in 1806 in the service of the artillery. [1]

7 de jun. de 2014 · On this date in 1820, Louis Pierre Louvel was guillotined at Paris’s Place de Greve for murdering the heir to the French throne. Louvel (French link) was a Bonapartist saddler, so embittered by the return of the ancien regime that he vowed on the day of the Restoration to exterminate all the Bourbons.
