Andrew Calhoun (born November 30, 1957, in New Haven, Connecticut, United States) is an American folk singer-songwriter based in the Chicago area.
Andrew Calhoun's innovative music is rooted in tradition. In over forty years as a performer he has cultivated a prismatic repertoire including original songs, Irish and American folk songs, Anglo-Scottish ballads, folk spirituals, and poems and songs by writers such as Dave Carter, Mary Oliver and Robert Burns.
I played for 4 years as a solo guitarist (classical, folk & blues) at Evanston's Blind Faith Café, and for a year at Chicago's Third Coast Coffeehouse. In 1990 I went to the Kerrville festival where I connected with other songwriters. I teamed for several years with Kat Eggleston.
