Sylvia Telles was one of the first interpreters to become identified with Bossa Nova, recording many classics written by Tom Jobim, Vinicius De Moraes and other important composers of the genre.

  6. Sylvia Telles. In 1955, she began her professional career by performing in the vaudeville Gente de bem and champanhota at Rio de Janeiro’s Follies Theatre. She also recorded a 78-rpm for the Odeon label that included Amendoim trradinho (Henrique Belltrao), Desejo (Garoto Vasconcelos, Jose Vasconcelos, and Luiz Claudio).
