Henry Edward John Stanley, 3rd Baron Stanley of Alderley and 2nd Baron Eddisbury (11 July 1827 – 11 December 1903), also known as Abdul Rahman Stanley, was a British nobleman and historian who translated The first voyage round the world by Magellan and other works from the Age of Discovery.

Edward John Stanley, 2nd Baron Stanley of Alderley, PC (13 November 1802 – 16 June 1869), known as The Lord Eddisbury between 1848 and 1850, was a British politician. He served as Postmaster General between 1860 and 1866.

9 de may. de 2013 · However, this article shows that the consolidation of the British Empire in India in the late 1850s coincided with the conversion to Islam of Henry Stanley, eldest son of an English Peer of the Realm. Stanley returned to Britain a Muslim and was the first Muslim convert to live and die on British soil.
