Mary Loretta Landrieu (b. November 23, 1955, in Arlington, Virginia) was previously a Democratic member of the U.S. Senate from the state of Louisiana. Landrieu was first elected to the Senate in 1996. Landrieu and Rep. Bill Cassidy were the top two vote-getters in the November 4, 2014, "jungle primary".
