Sir Edward Marshall Hall, KC (16 September 1858 – 24 February 1927) was an English barrister who had a formidable reputation as an orator. He successfully defended many people accused of notorious murders and became known as "The Great Defender".
Sir Edward Marshall Hall (1858-1927) was the most celebrated legal figure of his era in England as the defense attorney for a large number of sensational murder trials that featured in British tabloids during the Edwardian era.

Hall, Sir Edward Marshall (1858–1929). Hall was one of the greatest English advocates and a legend in his own time and since. He enjoyed, at the height of his powers, the sort of reputation and glamour in the eyes of the public later enjoyed by actors and film stars.
