Alexander Duff (born April 26, 1806, Moulin, Perthshire, Scot.—died Feb. 12, 1878, Edinburgh) was the Church of Scotland’s first missionary to India, highly influential on later missionary endeavours through his promotion of higher education.

Duff, Alexander (1806-1878) Scottish missionary in India and missiologist. Duff was born in Moulin, Perthshire, the son of a Gaelic-speaking farm servant. At St. Andrews University he was a distinguished student in arts and divinity and helped to found a student missionary society.

6 de dic. de 2017 · El sueño del joven Alexander Duff. Un joven escocés que yacía al pie de un arbusto junto a un arroyo, se quedó dormido y tuvo un sueño maravilloso. El cielo se tornó glorioso con una luz radiante y dorada. En medio de esta luz emergió una carroza tirada por caballos de fuego.
