Cathy Anne McMorris Rodgers (born May 22, 1969) is an American politician who is the United States representative for Washington's 5th congressional district, which encompasses the eastern third of the state and includes Spokane, the state's second-largest city.
We need a bold, comprehensive, all-of-the-above energy strategy to win the future and secure cleaner American energy. This must include real, workable solutions that unleash innovation in hydropower, nuclear, clean coal, and natural gas to reduce emissions, prioritize energy security, and keep energy costs low.
Cathy McMorris Rodgers is Eastern Washington's chief advocate in Congress and Chair of the Energy and Commerce Committee. Cathy grew up on a farm, worked at her family's fruit orchard, ran for Congress and later became a wife and mom of three.
