James Douglas, 2nd Duke of Queensberry and 1st Duke of Dover (18 December 1662 – 6 July 1711) was a Scottish nobleman and a leading politician of the late 17th and the early 18th centuries.

James Douglas, Duke of Queensberry, was a Scottish statesman and one of the Scottish commissioners who negotiated the Treaty of Union of 1707. Having established an important political profile under William of Orange, he consolidated his position under Queen Anne.
