Louis II of Zweibrücken (German: Pfalzgraf Ludwig II. von Zweibrücken-Neuburg "der Jüngere") (14 September 1502 – 3 December 1532) was Count Palatine and Duke of Zweibrücken from 1514 to 1532. [ citation needed ]
Palatine Zweibrücken was established as a separate principality in 1459, when Stephen, Count Palatine of Simmern-Zweibrücken divided his territory, Palatinate-Simmern and Zweibrücken, between his two sons. The younger son, Louis I, received the County of Zweibrücken and the County of Veldenz.
With the support of his regent, his uncle Rupert (later made the Count of Veldenz ), Wolfgang introduced the Reformation to Zweibrücken in 1537. Louis II with his brother Rupert, wife Elisabeth and children (incl. Wolfgang), by Peter Gertner.
Louis II the Younger (German: Ludwig II. der Jüngere) (14 September 1502 - 3 December 1532) was the Duke of Zweibrücken from 1514 until 1532. Louis was born in Zweibrücken in 1502 as the eldest son of Alexander, Count Palatine of Zweibrücken, and succeeded his father in 1514.
