Umberto Nobile (Lauro, 21 de enero de 1885-Roma, 30 de julio de 1978) fue un ingeniero aeronáutico italiano y uno de los exploradores árticos más famosos, principalmente por las técnicas que utilizó en sus exploraciones y sobre todo por su nacionalidad, no muy frecuente entre los exploradores polares.
