Léopoldine Clémence Adèle Lucie Jeanne Hugo (29 September 1869 – 30 November 1941) was a Belgian-born French heiress and socialite during La Belle Époque. She was a granddaughter of French novelist, poet, and politician Victor Hugo.

A partir del año 1900 pasó a ejercer como crítico teatral del diario Le Soleil y trabajó también para el periódico La Libre Parole. Paralelamente, fue publicando novelas, ensayos filosóficos, críticas literarias, folletos, relatos históricos, novelas y sus memorias. Dejó escritos 9000 artículos y 128 libros, la mayoría de los cuales se siguen editando en la actualidad.

Jeanne Hugo was born in Brussels on 29 September 1869, the third child of the journalist Charles Hugo and his wife Alice Le Haene. Her eldest brother died as an infant prior to her birth. Her surviving older brother was the artist Georges Victor-Hugo. Her paternal grandparents were the writer and politician Victor Hugo and Adèle Foucher.
Jeanne M. Hugo is a South African artist living and working in California’s Central Coast. Her views of the outside world have been theatrically influenced by the porthole through which she observed passing shores during a six year sojourn working on various cruise liners as an Art Director.
