Antoni Giełgud (Lithuanian: Antanas Gelgaudas; 27 April 1792 – 13 July 1831) was a Polish-Lithuanian brigadier general and leader of the Polish-Lithuanian forces during the November Uprising.
Polish forces under the command of Jan Krukowiecki, Antoni Giełgud and Kazimierz Małachowski were in fortified positions to protect the entrance to the capital city. Their combined forces included 13,000 men and 22 cannons. These forces included 2,700 cavalry and 1,200 infantry under the command of Antoni Jankowski. Battle

20 de jun. de 2016 · At the beginning of June, the corps of the Kingdom’s of Poland regular troops entered Lithuania, comprising of 12,000 soldiers under the command of Gen. Antoni Giełgud. Soon he became the commander-in-chief of the insurgent forces in Lithuania.
