On 22 November 1949, she married Frederick Fermor-Hesketh, 2nd Baron Hesketh (1916–1955). Lord Hesketh was the son of Thomas Fermor-Hesketh, 1st Baron Hesketh and the former Florence Louise Breckinridge (a granddaughter of the former American Vice President John C. Breckinridge ).
He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Hesketh, of Hesketh, in the County Palatine of Lancaster [U.K., 1935] on 20 July 1944. He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Hesketh, of Rufford, co. Lancaster [G.B., 1761] on 20 July 1944.
About. Lord Hesketh succeeded in the barony on 6 October 1955, aged four, when his father, Frederick Fermor-Hesketh, 2nd Baron Hesketh, passed away at age 39. His family seat was at Easton Neston, near Towcester, on the doorstep of Silverstone.
