Gustav Rödel (24 October 1915 – 6 February 1995) was a German fighter pilot and fighter ace who served during World War II in the Luftwaffe. Gustav Rödel was born on 24 October 1915 in Saxony. In 1933 the Nazis came to power in Germany.

Gustav-Siegfried Rödel (* 24. Oktober 1915 in Merseburg; † 6. Februar 1995 in Bad Godesberg) war ein deutscher Luftwaffenoffizier, zuletzt Brigadegeneral der Bundeswehr. Leben. Rödel trat 1936 als Fahnenjunker in die Luftwaffe der Wehrmacht ein und ließ sich als Jagdflieger ausbilden.

Born on October 24, 1915, in Merseburg, Saxony, Rödel joined the Luftwaffe, the German Air Force, as a Fahnenjunker in 1936 and underwent training as a fighter pilot.

Oberst Gustav Rödel (born 24 October 1915 in Merseburg – died 6 February 1995 in Bonn-Bad Godesberg) was a German World War II Luftwaffe fighter ace. He scored all but one of his 98 victories against the Western Allies in over 980 combat missions whilst flying the Messerschmitt Bf 109 .
