Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation (also known as Rocky Boy Reservation) is one of seven Native American reservations in the U.S. state of Montana.
The Rocky Boy's Reservation, headquartered at Rocky Boy's Agency, encompasses approximately 122,000 acres. The reservation is home to 55% of the 6,177 enrolled Chippewa & Cree tribal members. The name "Rocky Boy" was derived from the name of a leader of a band of Chippewa Indians.

Originally living in Canada, a small group of Cree broke off and migrated south in the late 1800s. This band eventually combined with a tribe of nomadic Chippewa led by Chief Rocky Boy. His name means “Stone Child,” but it was incorrectly translated into English as “Rocky Boy.”
