Henrietta Harley, Countess of Oxford and Countess Mortimer (née Lady Henrietta Cavendish Holles; 11 February 1694 – 9 December 1755) was an English noblewoman, the only child and heiress of John Holles, 1st Duke of Newcastle and his wife, the former Lady Margaret Cavendish, daughter of Henry Cavendish, 2nd Duke of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Lady Henrietta Cavendish Holles, only daughter and heiress,, married on the 31st October, 1712, to Edward Harley, Earl of Oxford and Mortimer, F.R.S., D.C.L., and founder of the Harleian Library; he died at his house in Dover Street, on the 16 of June, 1741, and was buried in Westminster Abbey.
Henrietta’s husband Edward Harley Lord Oxford, was a great bibliophile and collector. He was notoriously bad with money, and when he died in 1741, leaving Henrietta in poor straits financially, a contemporary said “his lady brought him 500,000 pounds, four of which have been sacrificed to indolence good nature and want of worldly wisdom”.
Henrietta was the only child of John Holies, Duke of Newcastle of the second creation (1662-1711), and his wife Margaret Cavendish Holies (1661-1716), who was herself the third daughter of Henry Cavendish, second Duke of Newcastle (1630-91). Although Margaret was not her father's eldest child, she was his chosen heiress.
