The siege of IJsseloord or the capture of Arnhem was a siege that took place between the 6 and 15 October 1585 at Arnhem ( Gelderland in the Netherlands) during the Eighty Years' War and the Anglo-Spanish War (1585–1604).
Anna Walburgis van Nieuwenaer (1522-1600) was a politically active Dutch countess. She married Philip de Montmorency, Count of Horn in 1543. She was a Protestant and actively supported the Protestant movement in the fief of her spouse.
