Daniel Timothy Kildee ( / ˈkɪldiː /; born August 11, 1958) is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for Michigan's 8th congressional district since 2013 (known as the 5th congressional district until 2023). He is a member of the Democratic Party . From 1977 to 2009, Kildee was a municipal elected official.
