Ferdinand Christian Baur (21 June 1792 – 2 December 1860) was a German Protestant theologian and founder and leader of the (new) Tübingen School of theology (named for the University of Tübingen where Baur studied and taught).

BAUR, FERDINAND CHRISTIAN (1792-1860) Nac. en Schmiden, cerca de Kannstatt. Después de estudiar en Tubinga para pastor luterano, se consagró al estudio de historia de la religión y en 1826 fue nombrado profesor de Historia de la Iglesia y de los dogmas en la Universidad de Tubinga.
