Giacomo Filippo Fransoni (10 December 1775 – 20 April 1856) was an Italian prelate and cardinal who served from 1834 to 1856 as prefect of the Sacred Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith. He was the cardinal priest of the Church of San Lorenzo in Lucina at the time of his death.

Fransoni, Cardinal Giàcomo Filippo. Giàcomo Filippo Fransoni was born in Genoa on December 10, 1775. When French troops invaded Genoa during the Revolution, his family went to live in Rome, then in Naples and once again in Rome in 1799. Jacques Philippe became a cleric in 1807 after having obtained his doctorate degree in utroque jure.
