  4. Shri Vasudevananda Saraswati (also called Tembe Swami) was born to Shri Ganesh Tembe and Sou Ramabai on 13th August 1854. His parents were devotees of Lord Dattatreya. At the age of 8, he underwent the upanayana (sacred thread) ceremony and learned Vedic literature, astrology, and Sanskrit.
