Udai Singh ( Udai Singh Rathore; 13 January 1538 – 10 July 1595), often referred as the Fat ( Mota Raja) was the Rathore ruler ( r. 1583 – 95) of Marwar, which was later known as Jodhpur (in the present-day Rajasthan state of India).
Udai Singh II (4 August 1522 – 28 February 1572) [5] was the Maharana of Mewar and the founder of the city of Udaipur [6] in the present-day Rajasthan state of India. He was the 12th ruler of the Kingdom of Mewar. He was the fourth son of Rana Sanga [7] and Rani Karnavati, a princess of Bundi .
Rathore ruler. Raja Udai Singh, also known by the sobriquet Mota Raja, was the Rathore ruler of Marwar, which was later known as Jodhpur. Career. But his reign was short lived as Akbar"s army occupied Merta in the same year and the capital in 1563. Udai Singh later joined the Mughal service.
