En 1811, Beyhan Sultan ofreció un gran banquete a Mahmud. Pero encerró a la joven dama en sus aposentos y colocó guardias en las puertas para su protección, pero a pesar de las protestas de Beyhan y de todas las precauciones que tomó, el sultán se reunió con Hoşyar y exigió que la enviaran al harén del sultán como una de sus consortes.

11 de jun. de 2009 · Valide Sultan, a reformist, had a school called Darülmaârif built in Divanyolu. It was also called ‘Valide Sultan School’. It was officially opened in 1850. Sultan Abdulmecid participated in the inauguration and brought his son and daughter with him. He wanted them to be educated at the school.
