Heinrich Wilhelm Gottfried von Waldeyer-Hartz (Hehlen-6 de octubre de 1836, Berlín - 23 de enero de 1921) fue un anatomísta y patólogo alemán. [1] Waldeyer definió el cromosoma en 1888 y en 1891 dio nombre a la célula nerviosa como neurona. [2] [3]

15 de may. de 2024 · Heinrich Wilhelm Gottfried Waldeyer (* 6 de octubre 1836, Brunswick - 23 de enero 1921, Berlín) fue un analista y patólogo alemán. Waldeyer nombró el cromosoma (cultismo griego, formado por khroma (color) y soma (cuerpo) o sea “cuerpo coloreado”) en 1888, y en 1891, propuso la teoría de la neurona del sistema nervioso.
Heinrich Wilhelm Gottfried von Waldeyer-Hartz describió por primera vez el anillo incompleto de tejido linfático, situado en la naso-orofaringe, en 1884. El anillo actúa como parte del sistema inmune, al ser la primera línea de defensa contra los microorganismos que ingresan al cuerpo a través de las vías nasal y oral.
