Irène Joliot-Curie (París, 12 de septiembre de 1897-ibídem, 17 de marzo de 1956) fue una física, química y activista antifascista francesa. Fue galardonada junto a su marido con el premio Nobel de Química en 1935 por descubrir la radioactividad inducida o la radioactividad artificial. [1]

Biographical. Irène Curie, born in Paris, September 12, 1897, was the daughter of Pierre and Marie Curie, and since 1926 the wife of Frédéric Joliot. After having started her studies at the Faculty of Science in Paris, she served as a nurse radiographer during the First World War.
