Rolf Martin Zinkernagel (Riehen, Suiza, 6 de enero de 1944) es un inmunólogo suizo. A finales de los años 60 comenzó a trabajar con Peter C. Doherty en Canberra, Australia. En 1979 regresa a su país natal, en donde ejerce como director del Instituto de Inmunología Experimental de Zúrich.
Rolf M. Zinkernagel (born January 6, 1944, Basel, Switzerland) is a Swiss immunologist and pathologist who, along with Peter C. Doherty of Australia, received the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 1996 for their discovery of how the immune system distinguishes virus-infected cells from normal cells.

Martin Rolf Zinkernagel. (Basilea, 1944) Médico suizo. Estudió Medicina en la Universidad de su ciudad natal de 1962 a 1968. Terminada la carrera, efectuó un curso de Medicina Tropical en la misma Universidad y otro de Medicina Experimental en la Universidad de Zurich.
