Rolf Dieter Heuer (Bad Boll, Göppingen, Baden-Württemberg, 24 de mayo de 1948) es un físico y profesor alemán investigador de partículas y director general de la Organización Europea para la Investigación Nuclear comúnmente conocida como CERN desde 2009 hasta 2015.

Rolf-Dieter Heuer (German: [ʁɔlf ˈdiːtɐ ˈhɔʏɐ]; born 24 May 1948 in Boll) is a German particle physicist. From 2009 to 2015 he was Director General of CERN and from 5 April 2016 to 9 April 2018 President of the German Physical Society (Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft).
Prof. Heuer is an experimental particle physicist. Most of his scientific work has been related to the study of electron-positron reactions, development of experimental techniques, as well as construction and running of large detector systems.

17 de jul. de 2020 · Rolf Dieter Heuer (b. 1948) From 1978 to 1983 he was a research physicist at the University of Heidelberg, working on the PETRA electron-positron storage ring as a member of the JADE collaboration. From 1984 to 1998 he was a staff member at CERN, working for the OPAL collaboration at the Large Electron Positron collider (LEP).
