Robert Riskin was born on March 30, 1897 in New York City, New York, USA. He was a writer and producer, known for It Happened One Night (1934), You Can't Take It with You (1938) and Mr. Deeds Goes to Town (1936). He was married to Fay Wray.
He had immediately demonstrated his credentials as a writer of smart dialogue and witty rejoinders on Frank Capra’s Platinum Blonde in 1931, and in the course of the following year, Columbia head Harry Cohn set Riskin to work on a whole series of projects.
