Alberto Burri ( Città di Castello, provincia de Perugia, Umbría, 12 de marzo de 1915- Niza, Francia, 13 de febrero de 1995) fue un pintor y escultor abstracto italiano . Biografía. Entre 1934 y 1939 estudió medicina, y obtuvo la titulación en 1940 de la Universidad de Perugia y fue médico militar durante cuatro años en la Segunda guerra mundial.
