In 1913 she married Thomas J. Preston, Jr., a professor of archeology, and remained a figure of note in the Princeton community until she died.
He was also President pro tem of Wells College in Aurora, New York. On February 10, 1913, he married Frances Folsom Cleveland, the widow of President Grover Cleveland in Princeton, New Jersey. He was a professor of archaeology at Princeton University.
