Lady Olwen Elizabeth Carey Evans DBE (née Lloyd George; 3 April 1892 – 2 March 1990) was a Welsh humanitarian and daughter of British Prime Minister David Lloyd George. Olwen was born at Bryn Awelon, Criccieth , the third child of David Lloyd George, then an MP , and his wife Margaret .
Lady Olwen Elizabeth Carey Evans, DBE (3 April 1892 – 2 March 1990); she married Major Thomas John Carey Evans (died 25 August 1947) in 1917 at London's Welsh Baptist Chapel. She was the grandmother of Margaret MacMillan [7] [8] and great-grandmother of television presenter Dan Snow .
Olwen was engaged to Captain Thomas John Carey Evans, MC. Mela Brown Constable was “mad with jealousy” when she discovered that the fiancé of the Prime Minister’s daughter’s had been allowed to come home from Mesopotamia in order to get married, as she told her own fiancé on 1st May 1917.
