Alma Manon Anna Justina Carolina Gropius (5 October 1916 – 22 April 1935) was the Austrian-born daughter of the German architect Walter Gropius and the Austrian composer and diarist Alma Mahler and the stepdaughter of the novelist and poet Franz Werfel.

Alma Mahler y Franz Werfel. El compositor, Alban Berg escribió su famoso Concierto para violín (1935), “a la memoria de un ángel”, Manon Gropius, que murió a la edad de 18 años, por poliomielitis. Gropius y Alma se divorciaron y ella se casó con Werfel en 1929.
Walter Adolph Georg Gropius (Berlín, Imperio alemán, 18 de mayo de 1883-Boston, Estados Unidos, 5 de julio de 1969) fue un arquitecto, urbanista y diseñador alemán, fundador de la Escuela de la Bauhaus. Walter Gropius comenzó su carrera como arquitecto bajo la dirección de Peter Behrens.
