Segismundo I Kęstutaitis (en lituano: Žygimantas Kęstutaitis; en polaco: Zygmunt Kiejstutowicz; nacido más tarde de 1350 y fallecido el 20 de marzo de 1440) fue gran duque de Lituania de 1432 a 1440. Kęstutis ( Latin: Kinstut, Lithuanian pronunciation: [kæːsˈtutɪs]; c. 1297 – 3 or 15 August 1382) was the Grand Duke of Lithuania. [1] He was the Duke of Trakai and governed the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, 1342–1382, together with his brother Algirdas (until 1377), and with his nephew Jogaila (until 1381). [1]

The Battle of Wiłkomierz (see other names) took place on September 1, 1435, near Ukmergė in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. With the help of military units from the Kingdom of Poland, the forces of Grand Duke Sigismund Kęstutaitis soundly defeated Švitrigaila and his Livonian allies.
