Ekteparet fikk fem barn: Cathrine, Benedikte, Alexander, Elisabeth og Carl-Christian. De fikk også fem barnebarn: Sebastian, Madeleine, Edward, Stella og Benjamin. Johan Martin Ferner døde 24. januar 2015.
