El Distrito de Brugg (en alemán Bezirk Brugg) es uno de los once distritos del cantón de Argovia en Suiza; está ubicado al centro del cantón. Tiene una superficie de 149,31 km². La capital del distrito es Brugg.
Brugg District is a district in the Canton of Aargau, Switzerland. The capital of the district is the town of Brugg.
Brugg is the Swiss German term for bridge (German: Brücke). This is an allusion to the purpose of the medieval town's establishment under the Habsburgs, as the town is located at the narrowest point on the Aare in the Swiss midlands.
Als Stadt ist Brugg eine Gründung der Grafen von Habsburg. Unmittelbar nach 1200 erhielt das Aarestädtchen das Marktrecht, und der krönende Abschluss der Stadtentwicklung war die Verleihung des Stadtrechts im Jahre 1284 durch König Rudolf von Habsburg.
