The Pour le Mérite (German: [puːɐ̯ lə meˈʁiːt]; French: [puʁ lə me.ʁit], lit. ' For Merit '), also informally known as the "Blue Max", is an order of merit (German: Verdienstorden) established in 1740 by King Frederick II of Prussia.

The Pour le Mérite was the Kingdom of Prussia's highest military order for officers until the end of World War I. Its equivalent for non-commissioned officers and enlisted men was the Military Merit Cross .
