Thomas Kail (born January 20, 1977) is an American theatre and television director, known for directing the Off-Broadway and Broadway productions of Lin-Manuel Miranda's musicals In the Heights and Hamilton, garnering the 2016 Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical for the latter.
Biografía. Thomas Kail es un director de teatro norteamericano, cuya dupla con Lin-Manuel Miranda ha significado un éxito en su carrera. Thomas conoció a Lin-Manuel desde antes de que ambos fueran figuras reconocidas en el medio del entretenimiento, y juntos formaron el grupo de hip-hop y freestyle Love Supreme.
Thomas Kail dirige y es productor ejecutivo, junto con Adam Milch y Jennifer Todd, productores ejecutivos de Old 320 Sycamore, y Ben Affleck y Matt Damon, productores ejecutivos de Pearl Street Films.

Rarely does a director get a chance to evolve a project for as long as Thomas Kail has worked on Hamilton, nor gotten the opportunity to take it from one medium to another.
