La Torre de Hércules es una torre y faro situado sobre una colina de la ciudad de La Coruña, en Galicia ( España ). Su altura total es de 55 metros. 1 2 Data de finales del siglo I y principios del siglo II. Tiene el privilegio de ser el único faro romano y el más antiguo en funcionamiento del mundo.
The Tower of Hercules is the only fully preserved Roman lighthouse that is still used for maritime signaling, hence it is testimony to the elaborate system of navigation in antiquity and it provides an understanding of the Atlantic sea route in Western Europe.

La Torre de Hércules fue construida como faro por los romanos, posiblemente hacia finales del siglo I y comienzos del II. De su primitivo aspecto hoy conservamos su interior revestido por un recubrimiento arquitectónico realizado a finales del siglo XVIII.
