9 de jun. de 2023 · The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 saw the addition of 3x3 basketball, BMX freestyle, karate, skateboarding, sport climbing, surfing and mixed events in shooting, swimming, triathlon and track and field. Across these new additions, Team USA earned 10 medals. The 2020 Games also marked the return of baseball and softball.
American athletes have won a total of 2,638 medals (1,065 of them gold) at the Summer Olympic Games, and another 330 (114 of them gold) at the Winter Olympic Games, making the United States the most prolific medal-winning nation in the history of the Olympics.

The 225 Team USA athletes delivered breakout performances and collectively earned 25 total medals (8 gold, 10 silver, 7 bronze).
